My chickens are broken

My girls are 3 months old and living outside in their coop/run. I tried to give them some strawberries, they wouldn’t eat them. I tried to give them freeze dried meal worms a few weeks ago, wouldn’t eat them.
Picky or am I doing something wrong.

have you given then any of those treats before my chickens like strawberries but i find that they are just a little hard for then to tear through then to get the good inside part and maybe if you give them live meal worms first so they know they are good then try the died ones they will see they are treats and be happy to have them some other good treats is water melon mine go crazy for it and it cools them off in the heat a little hope i helped good luck

No I have not. I guess they just don’t know what to do with it. Maybe I didn’t cut them small enough. I’ll keep trying. Thank you

Keep offering them new stuff. Mine would not eat strawberries last year, now they love them. The more new stuff they get, the more they are likely to start trying things right away.

My ladies hate strawberries and carrots but will destroy watermelon like there is no tomorrow. They also LOVE meal worms. I order mine online from Rainbow meal worms the ones in the stores are from china the ones from Rainbow are fresh,live and grown in CA.

I cook spaghetti squash for 12 minutes in the microwave. First use a knife to puncture holes in it. Cut it in half after cooking and cool. All my Chickens and Ducks go crazy for it...

Mine refuse to eat veggies except for spinach, mustard greens and they hate mealworms. They live frozen fruit even in winter and God help any snake that ventures in their area. Then it is a community game of keep away. I do feel sorry for the snake. I tell them not to play with their food but you know chickens.
