My chickens are eating their own eggs!

This last week I have thought my production was down, I even had a few days that out of eleven chickens I only found one egg. Then today I caught them! Two chickens eating the eggs! What causes this and how do I stop it? Is this a result of the cold a being shut up for three months? They are well feed, and plenty of water. Any ideas? Thanks?

Being bored/ locked inside does seem to lend itself to it starting, the birds just have nothing better to do so sooner or later one breaks an egg and then they have discovered that eggs are good to eat and continue doing it.

What I do is make a egg with spice then give it to them if that helps.
