My chickens are having a blast today....

well we have been having some really weird weather for oct.. its been in the upper 80's until the past few days,
well a friend of mine is a master at growing tomatoes she has the biggest best and the most i have ever seen and grows them in her tiny little backyard- with this weather her toms are growing out of control taking over her yard so today my dear 72 yr old friend grabbed two big bags went out and started tearing down the bushes, toms and all and brought them over here for the chickens/ducks - they went crazy fighting over all the toms and the leaves a few of the girls would grab a bunch of toms still on the branch and run into the coop hiding from everyone else to eat thier treat and come back for more !! my girls are going to bed tonight with really full bellies and tomatoe breath LOL

just thoguht I would share what a great day my girls are having LOL

my chickens dont care for tomatoes.. they get the seeds from the inside and leave the rest..

They obviously were in tomato heaven all day! Weather has been weird here too, was really warm here today with rain on the way. I still think I am going to winterize the coops this weekend because it can't last like this forever and I want to be prepared! Chickens just love them tomatoes.
