My chicken's broody, so I just gave in... (**Both Ducklings Are Out**)

OMG!! I would be going crazy!! Maybe it's because they are outside? With the cold weather we've been having it may have slowed them down a bit.

We were so cold yesterday we had tiny snow flurries throughout the day here. Last night got down to 25. I just keep telling myself its being as cool as it is it may have slowed down their need to escape.

Ok, no more thinking about them for awhile! LOL

Nothing...but my husband said he heard them in the nesting box in the eggs when he opened it this evening around 6:30. Haven't checked since, and I've cut him off from touching them.

i hope these babies hatch for you i feel your pain! I have been waiting 26 days and its only for silkies..LOL I have had so much trouble and heartbreak and I have 2 that just piped today on day 26. I hope you have some baby duckies soon!

Why dont you go take a quickie and check em' and see
if you hear any babies, im shure if your DH could heard them
through all that silkie fluff there bound to be zipping or already
hatched, and you never know how you broody is going to react
to them anyway sence there ducks.

Oh no... now I'm nervous I won't be there until way after they hatch, and mommy may reject them!?

I'm going to run out and check after I swore I wouldn't... but its for their safety.

If I get a gut feeling they are close, I will stay up late tonight and rotate with hubby to keep an eye out.

I wasn't even anything like this when my daughter was born 4 days late!

26 days?! Are they late because of bator issues? Was the temp off at one point? Oh dear.... *fingers crossed for you*

Under a broody outside on a ground nest. I am guessing due to the temps delayed them. I got a pip and heard them peeping today while i was doing my last candle before tossing them.
