Hi all,
I have a chicken who is pooping water with bubbles looking things in it. She lives in a hot climate like 35 degrees Celsius days and humid. And I am thinking that is the problem.

Second question,
My chicken also has a dirty bum and because her poohs are small it gets caught on her bum. Im thinking I'm giving her too much sunflower seeds ( less then a palm full) or too much bread ( just some of the crusts about every second day ) which is giving her the squirts. sometimes give her an Epsom salts bath. Is that the right thing to do?? If it is how often should I give her a bath.

The breed of my chicken is favorless cross catalana or something like that.

You should try mixing Apple Cider Vinegar in their water, about 10 tablespoons per gallon. That will help with the waste getting stuck to the vent.

If you do feed your chickens with a proprietary feed, I would stop any additional treats to see if that makes a difference- from my experience it can.

Good luck

10 tablespoons per gallon seems a lot. I only use about one in a gallon daily.

You could also try fermenting her feed as that seems to help digestive problems.

I too use 1 tablespoon/gallon. Fermented feed is a very good idea too.
