My chickens just turned 18 wks. old should I switch them to layer???

Go to an unmedicated grower or flock raiser asap you want to get the meds out of their bodies as soon as you can. If you happen to have left over grower or flock raiser just mix it in with the layer when they start to lay. 21 weeks on medicate start is about 14 weeks too long anyway.
