I dont have that on hand?only human vitamins I have
Chickens are actually easy to give a pill to, but if you don’t know how, you can always crush it (or empty the contents of it’s a capsule) into a little cup, add a few drops of water or coilloidal Silver, and swipe it up with a tiny piece of bread. I administered meds to a chicken this way when handling her was stressing her out and I needed someone else to look after her when I went out of town.
THANK YOU! I READ RO GIVE HER OIL LAST NIGHT SO I DID. AND SHE HAS PASSED MORE GUNK I CALL IT. SHE IS WALKING AROUND. I WENT AHEAD AND BATH HER AGAIN IN WARM WATER AND RUB HER AND SHE SEEMED LIKE SHE SHE KNEW WHAT I WAS DOING AND ACCEPTED IT FINE.GOING TO THE STORE NOW TO GET MEDS FOR HER, TOOK OUT ALL THE CORN AND FILLED IT WITH PELLETS. BUT I AM SO HAPPY OF THE PROGRESS I SEE TODAY AND SHE IS WALKING NOW...YAY THANK YOU ALL FOR SO MUCH HELP AND COMFORTING!

Do you have photos of the gunk?
It helps to see what you are seeing.

Your title says indicates that they are having trouble passing eggs and they bust inside, but then you mention that the egg shells are hard?
Is your hen passing soft shell eggs or is it "lash material"?

I could be wrong, but what you are describing is probably a reproductive disorder. Egg Yolk Peritonitis, cancer, tumors and Salpingitis are common in laying hens. They can have trouble passing an egg and with infection like Salpingitis they can expel "gunk".
I'm sorry you have lost several hens over the last couple of years, but unfortunately, this seems to be a common problem.

If you happen to lose her, getting a necropsy by your state lab or performing an informal one yourself will give you some answers.
