My new chickens have Been In the Coop for two days,my gray one was doing fine until i came Home today ti see that my Old chickens Who are the same age as the new ones have pecked a hole in her head, what do I do??? And how long does it take for the new ones to be acseptet??

Pictures please. Did you start with the see don't touch method?
No,I sat them in at night so bc I heard that was a better way but I guess not. The pic is its neck, and my guess is that the rooster started the wound by jumping it so much and afterwards the hens started pecking it.

Dang, what is going on?! I've seen so many posts like this recently.

Trim the feathers around the wound, clean with saline, spray bacitryn, then slather with Neosporin or any triple antibiotic ointment without pain reliever. Repeat twice a day for a couple of weeks.

She needs to be seperated until the wound doesn't look red or they will peck it.

Thank you for your answer,do I need to put the other new chicken with her or is she good being in there with the hens alone?

Okay. See but no touch method is usually best, because they get to know Each other with no pecking. I tried the put in at night approach once, and my hen was never fully accepted.
Thank you,we have removed the hen from the flock and will try the see but don’t touch methode now

I think that it might be a little safer for them and less stressful for you! Integration is something that pretty much every chicken owner has issues with. It depends on how welcoming your chickens are. Some people can just put them in overnight and everything will be fine. It just depends on the flock. I think your hen will be just fine. My Easter Egger had a wound like that that I didn't notice for days because of all her floof, and she healed on her own.

I think my chicken might be a little bit mean tbh,the rooster isn’t necessarily mean but he just like to jump new girls🫤 my two marans and Easter eggers on the other hand are a little bit meaner and especially one of my marans are just mean in general so I think it can be an issue but im hoping for the best🤞🏻🤞🏻

Just give it time. It should all work out eventually. I've never had a problem with the see no touch method.
