It doesnt, only the are it is atIt's not strange. Close to night chickens will look for somewhere safe to roost. They have chosen the window sill. You want them in the dog house. does it have a door?

Thats true, maybe I should put the house in a higher place! They might feel safer; thanksChickens naturally prefer to roost as high as possible at night as they know it is safer. Chickens have no defences against preditors and are blind in the dark and feel safer roosting.
You need to provide them with a coop with roots. There behavior is telling you they dont like or feel secure in there dog house. At the very least you chould be locking them in (and more importantly, preditors out) at night. Good luck!
No I haven homed them! Here's the coop (that needs cleaning)Would like to see the coop, inside and out...
....and know if you ever 'homed' them to it.
'Homed them to it' means keeping them confined to the coop for a week so it becomes their safe place.
Thats not the whole run they have a whole garden to themselves. All day... I just wish they stayed there at night! They do but only if I put them there... I guess Ill do some windows on the house.Tiny 'coop', with no door or ventilation, in a 'run' that's easy for them to get out of....
...gonna be tough to home them to that. Sorry.
I will add a door and make windows then... Yeah I only said it needs cleaning so you would ignore the "untidiness" for nowthey don’t want to live in that coop because: coops should be bigger than that so that they can move around and feel safe in it, it doesn’t have great ventilation, their is no door a predator could just sneak in and grab them,
also if it needs cleaning you should probably clean it
"Tiny" only refereed to the coop......I know they free range.Thats not the whole run they have a whole garden to themselves.
Oh okay"Tiny" only refereed to the coop......I know they free range.
