It's fantastic. They're 8 weeks old now and barely fit in their brooder together. They and I have been ready to move them into the coop for almost two weeks now, but we had a streak of cold (low-30s at night), rainy weather and, as much as I fretted about keeping them In the brooder at night, I was more worried about it being too cold.

But it think the weather's finally gotten to the point where our hens, Arnold (B. Orp), Uther (Welsummer), Pearl (Easter Egger), and Lady Pouff (Polish crested, probably black), can stay out at night and maybe figure out where they're SUPPOSED to sleep. ;)

Here are some pictures of my ladies. You'll have to excuse Lady Pouff, as she was eating.

And here's a better one of Pearl and Uther.

Awesomeness! We moved our gals last week to the coop and I think we're all happy about that move. The coops not finished but enough to keep them warm, dry and safe.

Cute gals!

The ladies have about 4-5 more weeks to go before I give them the boot and save on my electricity bill by turning off the brooder light, but today they got to hang out in their future home for about 4 hours as the temps in Connecticut hit the mid 70s

Your chicks are so young! We still look at chicks when we go to the farm store and I'm always so shocked that one of those fluffy little things turned into this:

They should be mostly feathered out at 8 weeks so they should be fine but if you're worried about the night time temperature you can use a heat light in the coop at night I did this and they were just fine
