So I finally got my chicks on Friday. Man has it been a busy weekend! I ordered 5 PBRs, 5 EEs, and 5 BA. Cackle sent an extra BA. They BAs were super tiny and two didn't look very good after the first day. They were sooooo small and wouldn't even open their eyes all the way. I tried to get them to eat but to no avail. The first one died sometime Sunday night and the other today while I was at work

The remaining 14 are strong and lively...and always on the go. Here a some pictures of the little girls.

Yeah she is my favorite, she has the darkest "chipmunk lines" on here. One is almost all yellow another one is very pale, almost a white. I am splitting these chicks with a couple of guys at work and I can't decide which ones to keep. I am definitely keeping the one in the pic on my hand. I am think about keeping the almost white one. Maybe they will look totally different when they are all feathered out, since they look so different from each other now.

Totally white. That would be interesting to see feather out. These birds are for gamblers. We just want to see what they turn into. I am so upset that I am limited to five chickens.

Very cute and pretty chicks you got there! If I had to give away some of my chicks that would be very hard for me to decide since I'm already strongly attached to all of them! Hope you can decide on which ones to give away and good luck with the chicks!

Well she WAS all white now she is looking more and more yellow....

I was hoping for a white EE, but oh well!
So the chicks are a week old now and I will be introducing a perch for them tonight when I get home from work. Anyone have any ideas on snacks that I can start giving them and how often I can give them? I know that if I give the stuff like yogurt I have to provide some grit for them as well. How do I do this? Do I just pour it on a tray or do I mix it in with the yogurt?
Thanks, I will be taking some more pics and will update in a day or so....I can't believe how fast they actually grow. I read on here all the time that people can't believe how fast they grow, but until you get your own you don't believe how drastic the growth is! Amazing little creatures!!
