My chicks are trapped, help!

My 3 chicks just went in back of our cement steps (it is hollow inside) and they won't come out! I've tried a stick between the back of it, and they just went in further. Just tried a hose and nothing. what else can I do? It is very heavy and can't be moved.

OK, I tried a different hose technique and got them out. PHEW

Thank goodness. If they wouldn't come out I would've suggested food to lure them out.
