I have approx. 15 chicks that are from two to four weeks old and one is squeaking when breathing and another two have runny noses. I have treated the oldest/largest for over a week now because he/she was the first sick. No luck so far: it is maybe more active but nose is still bubbling. Doesn't seem to be contagious as after two weeks only two others are sick and not the same exact symptoms. They are housed outdoors in a brooder on the porch(covered) with lights and they are all hatched from my chickens in an incubator so I have not introduced any new birds with them at all. It has gotten down to 55 at night here but I cover their brooder with a sheet in the evening to keep the heat from the lights in...any advice? The antibiotics in the water haven't seemed to help and I am terrified that all my babies will start to get sick...
Oh and in the morning they are NOT all huddled together under the light like they are cold and all, sick or not, are eating like horses..
