One of my chicks which i recently got from a pet store randomly started to close her eye, then suddenly her eye now wont open, then i tried opening it and cleaning it out with some clean Q-tips dipped in warm water and now shes finally able to open it for a little bit. Will she die? I really don't want her to die. I need help. i cant go to the vet, since its far, any at home treatments?

If just one eye's closing chances are it's just a localized injury or issue. Not life threatening.

Sounds like maybe she's just got something in her eye or was pecked by another chick. It happens. I'd soak/bathe her eye with saline solution, probably not use a Q-tip in case it abrades her eye surface or pushes a foreign body in further, then let her be overnight and see if it's infected in the morning.

If it is, then the foreign body I'm supposing is in there either didn't move, or was maybe replaced with other irritant/s. Infection's purpose is often to drive a foreign body out of an eye socket, so that may do its job overnight if the cleansing doesn't help.

Someone may have better advice for you. Best wishes.
