My Chicks...

So anyway, I decided to showcase my chicks here:


here they are in their brooder box. I thought the red fleece would be warmer... underneath is pine.



I know the pic is a bit blurred but I love this expression with a cocked head ever so slightly.

and this is my favorite.



My dog and a chick. when i hold a chick out for her to see in person she is a scardy cat so i put on on her.. i was very close to her in case something happened. but i think she just tolerated it. She is a 5 year old chihuahua. Her name is Sissy. The chicks don't have a name yet.

I had to move a chair next to my brooder so my Chihuahua could look down in and watch the chicks. She's very good with them also. She takes most things in stride and usually gives them one lick and walks away.

Neat. My dog isn't nearly that good...or small! lol I showed her a chick once and she thumped it right on the head her big fat foot! That poor chick was mentally messed up the rest of her life!
