My chocolate muscovy... Gender?

A week has gone by any change you can see? how about sounds they are making? boys will make a rasping sound, girls higher picth trill.

Anyhow i did get three hens today from a breeder

so i now absolutely have 5 hens and 1 drake.. 1 possible drake and 1 that i think is a drake but others think is a hen.. and whether they be blacks or chocolates their staying still spring and i'll see how the flock all goes.. hopefully the family will be right and one of the chocolate/blacks(

) is a hen... then i'd have a ratio of 2: 6 which just might work...?

Good news and I hope it works out, I have had 2 drakes together and one thought he should have all the girls, and at the beginning they wouild get into fights, but the last 2 years i had both adults they kinda had a truce and would stay away from each other,. this summer they only got into it 2 times, then when our duckling was hatched in june, I had to make the tough decision to part with one of the drakes just too many, and thank goodness I found someone on BYC who took the younger adult and a hen. I hated to part with the hen but wanted to be sure My drake wouldn't end up supper.

Now I have 2 drakes again, but My adult drake is 8 years old and doesn't get around as good as he did so hopefully this will work out, plus I got 3 more girls to add to the mix. so 2 drakes and 7 girls, well actually 6 girls for the 2 drakes and one girl for my gander

I hope it all works out and your one is a hen. the more girls the better.

Keep us updated it's kinda like a soap opera, well maybe not i haven't watched a soap opera in about 30 something years, but it's probably close.

Yeah, i'll keep you all updated. At least for now i should be good till the spring and i can revaluate then. Soap opera? yeah probably a good comparison.
