Hey everyone,

I came out to the run yesterday morning and my platinum Sussex is laying on the ground on her side. She cant get her left leg under her. she eats and drinks water, but struggles to even get up on her good leg. she just lays on her side.

From googling I can see Curled toe paralysis is likely. I've given her a good look over and there is no swelling, breaks or noticeable heat. She is a large bird so not ruling out a sprain from coming off the perch.

Has anyone here had experience with this?

I have heard brewers yeast will help fix, but how much?

Thanks!!

Okay so have you picked her up and placed your finger to her foot, if she goes to grip onto your finger then you know she can still move her leg sorry that in both legs. After you’ve done that give update and we may be able to help you out from there

She has stopped gripping. She can shuffle a little on her hocks. But not well.

I haven't checked for ticks. I will have to give her a good look over. Its now been 36 hours since i found her. Also, she has been doing soft shell eggs on her perch at night since the matriarch went broody in her fave box. That was 1 month ago.
Ehh that’s not sounding great, the best I can suggest at the moment is check her over well
