Introducing a young rooster can be tricky. Sometimes they accept him and sometimes they beat the tar out of him. A lot depends on the personality and maturity of the rooster. I've had 15 week old roosters that could handle it, but some much older ones cannot. I suggest give him as much room as possible to get away from them. It would also help if you can keep him in sight but protected from them for a while. Sounds like that is not real easy with your set-up.

I wish you luck!

ridge ,
Day 2:Up at day light to see the young rooster out in the run with the hens still in the coop as i left the door to the run open last night for a way out for him.Thought things might be peaceful a moment, but when the six ladies hit the run it was on again, threw on by britches and took off to the run.By the time I got there all six of him had him in a corner.Heck it looked like one big chicken wearing him out.He was able to stick his head in a hole in the corner of the run.So they were pecking on has back.I got em off of him and herded him toward the door to the coop and shut it.Then I came back in to wake up with a cup of coffee.
You are right about the pen.The coop is a half barn(throw shed) that I fenced in put windows in ,plus my laying boxes and roosts. Its 12X15.I then cut a door in the end and added my run 12x 16.Fenced in with bird netting on top.Design changes would take awhile.Plus the added expense of material.I don't want to keep him in the run and the ladies in the coop till he grows up as they like to get out during the day.
I called the lady this morn I know from the coop about her 1 yr old buff she was going to sell me.I explained my current dilema and she said "yeah,he's just a baby,I was wondering how that would work out".( I took him by to show him off)So now Im considering buying the one year old from her later today and selling the little guy.The one year old is quite large and a fine looking rooster.Plus she said she didnt think they would get away with bullying him around. Also she may know someone who will take Buff Jr.So what do you think? I work 5 10s during the week so i kinda have to fix this today.Once again thanks for all the advice everyone has given me and i am very glad i found this site! Thanking you in advance for your time. Take care,Rick.
PS. One more small problem,A couple of them like to lay in the morning but now they are in the run.I have the rabbit cage I brought him here in . maybe I need to seperate them entirely for now.My main concern is i dont want them to kill him.
