My closest neighbor is mad at me over a roo,,,, not what you think!

I am so glad it worked out...I have a teenager across the road that hates my Rooster but everyone else is fine with him.....One lady keeps telling he I need to get more chickens because they are so fun to watch and they just love them.......

The trade went off very smoothly. Snowball's new family went up to the feedstore and picked up some straightrun hens for him, they are supposed to be Bantam ladies but they seem a little large for the age and all. He doesn't mind the bigger ladies, it makes him feel like a big guy!

Now all you have to do is get them to join BYC!!!
Their conversion will be complete!

Thanks for posting their response! I have been waiting to hear how it went. I bet he is really enjoying himself!

I love hearing my neighbors tell me they like my roo's crow. The elderly lady across the street says it reminds her of her childhood in northern Maine. The guy next to them says he thinks of his summers in Italy when he hears George. Even the closest neighbors say George's crow doesn't bother them. But to hear that someone was upset that a roo's crow couldn't be heard? That's something I have yet to hear!!

That is so cool. My neighbors liked my roosters- and were heartbroken when the Biggest Little Rooster died. They love the chickens and are upset because they are not allowed out to play.
Today, Hardy was crowing his little heart out, and the neighbor brought some leftovers for the Ladies- and commented on how she heard him crowing. LOL but she also commented on how silly he sounded. He'll have to grow into his crow.
So how many roosters did you rehome?

I let 8 of the boys go. It sure seems empty out there, and quiet too! Now I know who the noise makers were. The ladies are more relaxed, they walk around in the yard now instead of hiding behind anything they can and I see new feathers on their back already. Blue Roo is much happier, because the trio that liked to pick on him has gone. Nugget for some strange reason has moved into the broody house with Charlotte! She is sitting on three tiny eggs in there and he jumped the fence and is staying with her. I guess with Duchess sitting on her nest, he needs company and just sits there with Charlotte and the two black Silkies in the pen with her.
