My Cochin Bantam rooster has something happening to his feathers.

His feathers seem softer and have this weirds texture shown in the link above. None of my other chickens have this. Thanks in advance!

Looks like lots of Down feathers, & I see broken feathers.

He could have mites or lice. Part the feathers under his vent and look for any bugs or eggs.

How old is he? I too would part the feathers just below the vent and check for egg clusters.
