I hope someone can help with this. My year old Cochin roo is lethargic and lying down in the coop. He’s had diarrhea for the past few days that is blue green. I have not fed him or the other 3 birds in the enclosure anything that would cause the blue green poo. None of the other birds are sick (yet). His comb is falling over. I don’t know if this is related but I’ve noticed a lump over his eye that seems to be slowly getting bigger. Today on the other eye, there is a scaly looking place. It is not ulcerated or wet. I gave them some yogurt and blueberries today and I saw him eat some. I’m about to move him into a kennel and give him some electrolytes. I’ve attached a few pics. Please help!! I love this big sweet lug so much!!!

Is vet care an option?

Has he eaten any moldy feed?
I would consider Enteritis and treat him with an antibiotic like Amoxicillin and a Coccidiostat like Corid to see if that helps.

Amoxicillin dose is 57mg per pound of weight given orally for 7-10 days. Corid liquid dose is 2tsp per gallon of water given as the sole source of drinking water for 5-7 days.

I would offer him his normal feed along with a small amount of buttermilk and white rice. Give the buttermilk/rice a couple of hours after you give him the antibiotics.

Not sure what's going with the eye swelling. Have you found any ticks, lice or mites on him?

Thank you!!! I don’t think his feed is moldy, but there are lice and mites. I did a BIG clean up yesterday and I’m treating each bird and the coop with permethrin spray today. Thank you for the accurate dosages as well. I am actually sitting in Tractor Supply parking lot so I can add the meds to my list (hope they have them). And no, we don’t have an avian vet here. Just relying on good advice from experienced people. I am so grateful

Is that Corid the powdered or liquid?

Which do you have? You can use either Powdered or Liquid.

Liquid Corid dose if 2 tsp per gallon of water and Powdered Corid is 1 1/2 tsp per gallon of water. Give the medicated water as the only source of drinking water for 5-7 days.
Don't give an extra vitamins that contain B1 (Thiamine) during the course of Corid treatment.

How is he?

He is about the same 😢. I found some powdered corid at local farm store.

Green poop means that he doesn't eat enough. You may offer him some egg and yogurt. The lump over his eye is a very bad sign of potential tumor developing. Did you feel his crop in the morning? If it's cancer, his body may have trouble to process food and it could take a long time for his crop to empty. Is him vaccinated for Marek's? Marek's is the most common cause of cancer in chickens, but there are lots of other diseases causing cancer too. However, the lump could be just non-cancer tumor and he could just have other issues that are treatable. It wouldn't hurt to try Corid and deworming to see if it helps. If possible, a good avian vet would be helpful.

I'm sorry he's not doing all that well :(
Powdered Corid is fine to use.
Thank you. My friend gave me some herbal wormer (powdered) that I miixed with about 5ccof nutri drench and a little cayenne pepper. I put some down his beak yesterday and cleaned out his kennel again. Was going to bathe him but I thought after force feeding it would be too stressful. He sat outside while I cleaned his kennel and he did not get up at all. His crop is soft. Don’t know how much he’s eating. I’ll try some yogurt today and the buttermilk/rice you suggested. Praying for a little sign 🙏
