My computer/phone is gettin shut off

My phone was cut off this morning, internet will be at just anytime now.

Due to my employer cutting hours and demoting and layoffs that all started in Dec.

We've already cut spending as much as humanly possible, even skipping meals now.

Something has to give somewhere.

Hope things get better soon for everyone.

Now THAT's an idea! Here they are paying 70 cents a pound for coke cans. I don't know what they are paying for junkers, but when we took cans to the junkyard for $, there were over a dozen people bringing in junk cars for money. So they must be worth something!

If it's abandoned on your property (tires sunk in mud lend credence to that, IMHO), I'd sell the stuff and try to recoup the phone bill. Also, you could consider small claims court. She doesn't have money, I'm sure, but anything she does have in her name could become yours. Just a thought.

Also, I don't know about where you are, but here we could legally claim a daily storage fee. Hey, everyone knows that barns are to house critters, not cars with flat tires.

Good luck. I'd write a note to the paper or radio station about the false charity thing, too. And talk to the DA about it -- I'd think that was fraud. Depending on how much money she got, it could send her up the river for quite a while. Long enough to wish she DID have cancer!

I'm a cancer survivor myself. I never asked for a charity benefit and wouldn't have done it anyway since I had things more or less covered. But it takes a big set of brass b*lls to fake having cancer just to get money out of it. Put a bullet between her eyes and save all the taxpayers money.

Oh I know...she got a couple thousand dollars. She was dumb enough to leave a letter from the "cancer dr" that said she was fine in my car. I think I'm gonna post it on My Space.

When the cop came he said "Wow she really bent you guys over didnt she?" We were gonna get the car towed but they said we'd hhave to pay 100$ for it. If this isnt over tomorrow I'm having a bonfire. I think it would be less profitable but more satisfying than a yard sale. I'll let you guys know how it goes tomorrow.

Just a thought about towing the car. We've got travel club benefits on our Chevron gas card. Yeah, you'll have to pay the towing, but they reimburse you for it, I think up to $100.00. Also, our insurance has towing on it.

Umm, didn't you say you wanted to borrow her car for a quick errand and then the darn thing got two flat tires with no spare?????

BTW, I would talk to the DA. Especially if the letter still exists in or near your possession. That is fraud and possibly more serious than fraud. Especially since the letter is phony and she used it with the express intention of obtaining non-taxable money and sympathy. Sic the IRS on her, too. We all know the IRS wants every dime it can get.

Good luck, sunshine. Remember the immortal words of my father: The wheels of justice grind slow but the wheels of Judgement grind fine. She WILL get what's coming to her. You may not live to see it, but it will most assuredly come!

That psycho is coming over to get her stuff today. The cops say we cant do anything to keep her off our property. We just have to call a cop to b present and then make a statement saying she isnt allowed here and if she shows up again after that she'll b arrested. I dont want to have to deal with this but I have to keep it cool.. If she sees me get uspet then she wins. By the way a dead mouse may have somehow found its way deep uner the driver's seat of her car and been baking in there since yesterday...I sure wouldn't know anything about that....I guess she shouldnt have parked her car on a farm for 2 months...

I am so sorry that you got taken advantage of like that. I had a friend of over 11 years do that to me last year. He got divorced the year before and was sleeping in a campground, so I loaned him my motor home to live in for a while. When he got an apartment, we gave him lots of furniture to get settled in. Then he wrecked his Jeep and I loaned him a vehicle for a while. He decided he wanted to buy it, so I said that was fine. I had other offers at the time, but wanted to help my friend out. He never gave me a dime, drove it for 5 months and left it somewhere where it got towed and impounded. It was still in my name, so I had to pay the impound fee. The only reason I knew it had been towed was because I happened to drive by the place where it was on the way home from work. Anyway, after several calls, he quit returning my calls. I was even understanding then, I just wanted the money for the impound. The vehicle was so trashed that I ended up only getting $400 out of it. What a way to end an 11 year friendship. This was one of my best friends. Goes to show what hapens when alcohol becomes more important to you than anything else in your life.

Sorry for hijacking this thread, I just needed to vent about that.

I hope your internet doesn't get turned off. Good luck with everything.
