Rhoffart, what did you use to attach the pvc to the cooler? I have tried everything. My trouble is the spigot nut threads are different than anything I can find

Don't use the spigot nut ... just use 1/2 PVC male on the outside and for the inside just use a 1/2" female union or anything. Use two garden hose washers, one inside and one out.
