Would be excellent, and courteous, if you started a new thread for your build project.I didn't mean to high-jack the OP, but also wanted to share my ongoing project.
I thought it would be nice as first time chicken owners to share our journey along the way. In no way did I want to over shadow guelphchick in his endeavors. We can learn from each other. I'm going through the same things and just wanted every thing to be right.Would be excellent, and courteous, if you started a new thread for your build project.
It looks like a good one.

I did not think there was a hijack going on.
I think the coop is wonderful, and will re-read the postings again. I don't appreciate the fact that I need to start a new thread on my building. I'm hoping to learn from this person, also being first time chicken owner.I did not think there was a hijack going on.
I think it is good to share info, pics and experiences. Cannot very well do that if no one replies.
I still think the OP has made a grand coop and is being very smart getting the coop before the birds.

Sorry @aart to confuse you. My run is actually done, it's just the redesigned coop in progress. I will gladly back out at this time. It's confusing to have 2, or more, detailed builds in the same thread.
It makes it more difficult to answer questions,
and single topic threads are much, much more useful as future reference.
You can always link threads to share similar info or ask for specific help.
Maybe I'm just an old school forum user, but it's always been typical forum etiquette in the decade or so of my forum participation in many different arenas.
JMHO.
