I had 26 CX and went through 6 50lb bags of feed. I processed I think at 6 weeks 6 days. You might need 1 more bag of feed. I dont know if its more cost effective than store chicken or not I have my numbers somewhere and I was happy with the results. I will do it again. I rarely buy store chicken anymore my chickens I processed in sept are still feeding us. I personally wouldnt put 3 week olds in with bigger birds. Also moving a tractor while chickens are inside the tractor is very hard lol.

My chicken tractor was made out of a re-purposed trampoline. It wasn't easily moved. A four wheeler would have helped. I was also an outlaw raising them in the city without people knowing. Luckily, I have bought a small farm since. 15 lbs of feed per bird would be a good average in calculating feed.

hey im new to cornish rocks. in fact im really new to all chickens but i started with cornish rocks and i hear there is a certin weight at witch they should be processed, when would that be? mine are about a week old or less check them out plz and tell me what you think of my setup
