My crazy Pekins

My two Pekins, Bernadette and Henrietta, are just odd. Sometimes they lay eggs on the coop floor under the nesting boxes. Sometimes they lay them in an opposite corner. Sometimes they lay eggs in the middle of the coop. I've even found duck eggs up in the nesting box.

One of them has their days and nights mixed up. I think it is Henrietta. I recently found an egg in the small tub of water I have for them to play in. I found one this morning on the ground in the run (the ducks sleep in the coop). And just a little while ago, one of the ducks plunked an egg on the ground, just next to me, while waddling around having "free play time" in the yard.

They remind me of my sons when they were still in diapers. You never knew when or where they were going to .... plunk. LOL

My ducks used to do that too but now they mostly lay in their pen. One time someone laid an egg in the pool! I have yet to see one squirt one out of their butt and that is now my new goal in life! I have a chair in the duck run where I'll sit and watch but so far no egg laying while watching!

Same here! I never knew where I would find eggs in the beginning. Now they all lay in the same nest in the same corner every night.
