Sorry, this is long but really starting to creep me out!!!!

Alright, the Schwans man comes to my house every other Wednesday. It is a very rural area and the houses are spread out pretty far so most don't keep this route long....they have to work too late to get everyone done.

Anyway, several weeks ago I got yet another new guy. His first day here he told me his base pay, what commission he earns, complained that he isn't making enough with the bad economy and people need to start buying more, and told me one of his customers came around the house aiming a gun when he knocked on the door. All kinda strange and left me feeling weirded out but I blew it off.

Fast forward, I told him that my husband would be home the entire month of January (he is military) and I wouldn't be buying anything...that he prefers home coooked and I feel deserves it. First Jan. visit, I reminded him I wasn't buying until Feb. He left no problem. Second Jan. visit I reminded him again and said I will be buying on your next visit, alright? He said "No, it isn't really alright but they don't let us shoot customers so what can I do about it." I convinced myself he was just joking (though in a kinda creepy way) and again blew it off.

Well, we had the ice storm. He came last Wednesday. The power had been out for over a week at that time and it was obvious no one in my area had electricity. I was not home (couldn't stay here) but came out to check on my animals and found a note on the door stating "3+ NO SALE". Now, even if I could have been here, any food purchased would have ruined without power. So, I am feeling REALLY creeped out now and wondering if he will just decide to go against company policy and shoot a customer on his next trip or what????? He also knows I am know home alone with the kids and my husband is in Turkey.

Do I have a reason to be concerned or does anyone out there think his behavior is normal????

I would stop answering the door. He sounds like an arse. I wouldn't really worry about it, but, make sure doors are locked and just pretend that you're not home when he shows up.

I just called my Schwanns guy, he lives down the street, he said report him. The 3+ means he no longer has to stop there because now you are not considered a buying customer, and he has a record to prove it. Which in my estimation means he no long has a reason to stop by. But since he knows your hubby is in the military and gone a lot, you've placed yourself in danger by giving him this info even unintentionally. He probably has a weird sense of humor is all, but it is very inappropriate to say something like that. It's like when among friends you say Men, can't live with 'em can't shoot em,, but you wouldn't say that to a group of strangers.

Yes, he does seem quite unbalanced. Problem is, like schmooborp said, he knows where I live. If I report him and he ends up fired he might just decide to retaliate.

I will give some serious consideration to reporting him. However, I HOPE he just decides not to come back. I like buying from Schwans but it isn't worth that!!!

Trust your instinct and get rid of this guy - either call the company and cancel or leave a note for him or something.
