My creepy Schwans man....am I just overreacting?

luvmychikenkids, you need to trust your instincts. If something is telling you this guy is creepy, believe it. I am past not wanting to hurt someone's feelings over my safety anymore.

A few weeks ago at the bank, someone came around my van on foot, and crept up to my blind spot and stood there (between my van and the brick wall). I was at the drive through lane-where you talk to the tellers.

The incident scared me really badly, and I am still recovering. Even though the situation was innocent, (the person had no evil intent), I am not going to sit there and be scared ever again. If something like that should happen again, I shall spray the person with pepper spray, blow my horn, or take off and call 911. Maybe all three.

I would call the company, and voice your concerns. Tell them you want a new deliveryman if they want your continued service. I would keep a weapon near the door, too, just in case. Do you have a dog? I'd keep him in the house with you too.

Take care of yourself, and be proactive about your safety. I'm not trying to scare you, but you need to trust your instincts.

ETA-a weapon can be as simple as a crowbar or baseball bat.

Call Schwans headquarters and tell them you don't want him to stop at your home anymore.

If he shows up. Don't answer the door and call them again.

You do need to tell your husband. I know if this was happening with my wife and something did happen to her or my kids or both, and I find out she had gone through all this and didn't tell me I would be furious. He might worry, but at least he knows. After all doesn't he have a right to know and help plan for his families safety?

Also big dogs can be trained as small pack animals. I'm sure you can find a use for a dog and dog cart on your property.

report it to the company he will be fired immediately and get a restraining order and talk to the state police or seriff about it. trust ur gut instinct and do something about it now before it is to late!!

i learned the hard way with my swann's man, i tried to be nice and ditch him and it didn't work and ended up i had to sue him in court for assult, breaking and enering and a few other charges. i've been in ur shoes please do not allow urself to be a victum like i was 8mths pregnant with a 4 year old. he didn't get his right away but later spent 3 years in prison for what he did to me and at least 2 other woman. ur salesman is a wacko and not doing his job properly and what he said is uncalled for. what he is doing is harrassment and stalking if it continues. protect ur self and ur family at all costs do not even open the door. there is red flags all over this and there is some sick people in this world. if u need anything pm me and i will help u with anything i can.

1. Whatever you decide, be careful. This guy sounds like a whack job.
2. Every Schwans guy that has ever stopped by my house was a lying sack of garbage. They liked to tell me they are cheaper than Sam's, but would not let me compare prices when I whipped my Sam's receipts out of my purse

They also would never give a "per pound" price. That's how you know if you are getting a good deal or not...by comparing unit prices. Anyone who doesn't want you to know the unit cost is trying to rip you off.

I do know that my husband would be mad if I didn't tell him, conradpx, which is one reason I am tempted to. However, there is NOTHING he can do from Turkey.

I will have to think that one over. I know he does have a right to know, I just hate to make him worry. Especially if my worries are unfounded.

That would have scared me, too, Godsgrl. I am always extra cautious at the bank or ATM's anyway. Anyone acting out of sorts starts me watching closely. When I was younger I would go to dark ATM's at night, alone.....wow I was an idiot.

WOW...I mean WOW...

Couple months back I had put an order in with Shwans and he never showed with my order! Glad I wasn't pre-paid!!

Now I'm thinking I'm glad!

Wow, those are some scary Schwan's guys! Ours have been great in comparison!! I can see how there'd be a bad apple in the crate just like any group, I wonder now how well they screen their drivers though! My favorite is the peach ice cream though... I was thinking about leaving a message with a friend to tell the local guy to drop by, now I'm wondering! Heh, nah, not really... but I think the peach won't be back out till summer, oh well.

I understand being torn about telling your husband luvmy... like I said though, you know him best. He may have some thoughts about if you should call Schwans to complain or not if you do talk to him about it, or he may know someone or something you can do, or he may freak out too much. It's one of the thing with deployments, you just gotta do what works best for you two.

Sweetie - trust your instincts and report him - there are too many weirdos out there and I dont wany anything to happen to you or the kiddos.
