My Cuckoo Silkie is sick

She has quit eating and acts real weak. Called the Vet and he suggested Sulfameth which we picked up and are giving it to her now. Is there anything else I can do.? Not sure she will make it thru the night.

It sounds like your vet thinks she has coccidiosis. The most important thing is to get your chicken to drink the medication, even if you have to give some with a dropper or put the medicated water on her chicken feed.

should I move her into the house and out of the weather. It is not cold here yet but we are expecting rain.

You should treat your other chickens for coccidiosis at the same time. If one has it, the others may. If she is acting cold and huddling she may need a heat lamp or to come inside.

none showing any signs but we treated all our chickens today (200). Moved her inside but it was a little too late I guess.

All have been treated with meds and so far so good.
