Most of all, I wanted to prove to son and to myself that there is no such thing as "impossible" once someone put there mind and heart into it.
Every experience confirms what I know and teaches me new lessons too. For an example; My brother, his wife, and 2 girls 18 and 15 lives 1.5 miles from me. I've been there for them 99% of the time, dropping their kids to their friends house, taking them shopping, libary, organizing my brothers closet, helping them clean their backyard (countless times), being there for them physically and mentally. 1% was the time me little son was having a high fever and we rushed him to the hospital cause we couldn't get his temp down. Next day, I was asked to dropt off my niece to CPR class and I told them I won't promise cause my baby is sick, oh well, since I didn't do what I didn't promise to begin with, my SI hung up the phone on me and didn't talk to me for 2 weeks. But they never offered to help, when asked, they never showed up. Once my oldest niece came by (she has a licence now) when I was doing the platform of the coop, she helped me carry it to the backyard.
Well, y'all know how mom is, no suprises there
. And many more lessons I've learn thru out this experience.

some people are just not going to think like you and you will get a headache from banging your head against that wall expecting them to. I learned that lesson too, and also to say no when my family came first. Love the coop!
Just found this thread and have to say I am VERY impressed! Excellent job! And your son is an absolute doll!
Hope when the time comes I'll be able to do as good a job! DH said I'm on my own with the whole chicken thing.. but it's okay, I've lived with 2 carpenters, I think I picked up a little something
There is just one thing you forgot................ There is just room enough for it after the trim paint is all dry and the table and chairs and wine with two (Count 'em--- TWO) glasses [one for hubby, 'cause he helped]. The thing you forgot?????? The GREAT BIG GOLD STAR that you get to wear

That would be awesome. I could just picture it
and I'll get juices for the kids because they've also helped. My olderson (8) gathered all the wood pieces and my little one, well let's say he just hammered away everything he saw
Where there is a will, there is always a way I learned. I thank you for your kind words
