It's usually suggested when grocery shopping, that you do not go on an empty stomach. Also you should shop the perimeter of the store b/c most of the processed foods are in the center aisles. Good luck!
I have recently been losing weight! I have lost 11lbs in 6 weeks. I have a long way to go (about 76lbs), but I am feeling better already! Basically I switched from eating bad carbs to eating good carbs only. I cut out whites. when it comes to carbs I eat only whole grains, wheat breads, fresh fruits and veggies. I haven't really added in exercise yet, but I plan on doing some walking.
I guess I am not really on a diet, just changed my way of eating. I still have my treats here and there, but just in moderation if I do decide to treat myself. I didn't believe it would really work, but it does! My brother is also eating this way and he has lost 70lbs! We always just put it off as being genetic, but clearly it is all about making smarter choices!

I'm 5'6" and according to my wife, the reincarnation of an ape. I've got broad shoulders and long arms. The reason I think I can meet my target weight is I was there earlier in life. When I was wrestling and boxing I hovered between 147 and 152 at the same height. I'd love to be a lot healther weight though. The doc made it pretty clear what could happen if I didn't.
Oh and make sure you are eating enough, if you don't you won't lose anything. Eat 6 smaller meals everyday, Breakfast, lunch and dinner with small, healthy snacks in between.
I'm in. I'm not suppose to be "dieting" at this time. Docs orders until I am done with chemo. I am allowed to start eating better, is there a difference??!!
Boyd, I'll hold you accountable if you will do the same with me. My husband is useless. Ok not useless but when it comes to dieting and eating better he is. He brought me home 2 pints of Ben & Jerry's last night! I have no will power of my own. One's gone and one is tempting me!!
I've been trying to keep track of things on "My Diet" on FaceBook. Anybodyesle using that?
