19 mths isnt too young to kid.

My boer does kid down at 12 - 13 mths.

Yes, I do understand this is a pygmy, though.

I've never helped a goat to kid, but I've pulled many a calf in angus heifers who got with a huge holstien bull too early.

I'll never forget when I had to do one all by myself... I was probably 15 or 16 at the time, my dad was doing shift work, I had the heifer in the barn and she wasn't progressing. Got her some grain, put her head in the stanchion, when she went down in labor again I put the gloves on, hooked up both feet to a block and tackle and pulled with every contraction. We later purchased a calf puller that made it so much easier.

Well I just couldnt believe that I actually did it right....well.....maybe not textbook right but momma and baby are alive right??!!

Her horns look little because when she was born the breeder thought she "removed" the horns but she must have only "stunted" thier growth lol!!
