She's asymptomatic so she should recover quickly from what I am reading. No more walkies until she's better. She wont be too happy about that but I prefer her aliveI have not been through this personally but watch a lot of vet shows lol. Treatment can be hard on the dog, but they usually always pull through it. The earlier it's caught the easier treatment and recovery goes. Wishing your pup a speedy recovery!!!
It still is if left untreated. That's why we are starting treatment ASAP. I'm just glad I stayed and waited for the results. Even though I didnt expect the diagnosis I thought something might be wrong. She likes to sleep all day long. She's also been a lot more needy than usual. Deep down I think I knew the test would be positive. I just wish it hadnt beenBack years ago it was a death sentence We have some so far with animals or humans

That is great to hear. Yeah they have to suffer a little (no fun time) in order to fully recover lol. She's asymptomatic so she should recover quickly from what I am reading. No more walkies until she's better. She wont be too happy about that but I prefer her alive![]()
I've been reading some mixed things. Does the dog need to be just confined to the crate or can she just be fine with little to no activity in the house? This is pretty much what she does anyway. She usually gets her walk in the evening but now it will be only leashing for potty time so she doesnt chase squirrels. I'm guessing the nurse might be able to tell me better but I wont hear from her until tomorrow when I get her medicine. That is great to hear. Long as she/he is just laying around you can keep out of crate.I've been reading some mixed things. She gets it right after she has ate. The vet said if she doesn't eat to not give itGive the doxycycline with food, or right before eating, so you can be sure it slides all the way down!
Good for your rescue!
