my dog needs help and idk what to do...

Hello. My parents are well involved. They are the ones who set up an app. And our vet is BOOKED. He usually is. But somehow we were able to get in. I don’t live with my grandparents and we take very good care of our animals. We wanted to breed her cuz she’s pure bred so we aren’t gonna spay her. She’s been VERY HOT!! So I put a cold rag on her and she seems to like that. Her hiding spot is in the basement and is hiding in the hot spot in our house, so that’s not good either especially if she’s hot. She doesn’t growl or bark or bite and she mainly just licks you so she’s not really a threat.

Well sweetie, it sounds like perhaps maybe a frozen water bottle next to her could help or a fan. But the rag is great. I think you were smart to come on here to ask for help to ease your mind until you could get to the vet, and maybe we gave you some good ideas. I say keep up the good work, I’m glad your folks are taking charge, and good luck at the vet appointment. Please let us know what happens! We are here to listen and offer advice, but in my opinion you have it under control and I won’t cause you more stress by telling you what could or could not be happening or what to do. You sound like a wonderful young person who cares a lot! Enjoy that girl of yours a ton, she’ll be on the mend soon! :)

It's obvious from the photos and commentary that your girl is in good condition and is very much loved by you. I understand that you all have a preferred vet, but you really need to locate and be ready to use an emergency clinic when necessary. Especially if you plan to breed her, because if things go wrong with that, you're not going to be able to wait until next week to have her seen by a vet.

Recap:
Intact 3 year old female German Shepard was in heat 9 or so weeks ago.
No vomiting, no diarrhea, eating lightly and skipped a breakfast.
She is agitated and seeking a warm dark place to rest.
She feels warm to the touch (while resting in the hottest place in the house).
Her stomach does not seem to be in pain.
Breasts not enlarged.
---
Has she ever had a litter before?
Could she be agitated by a passing varmint or predator outside?
