So many possibilities! A twist in the gut. A swallowed string or other foreign object. All of these are life-and-death emergencies. Everyone is advising you call a vet, get her to a vet. She is in pain. She is suffering. You need to do something for her. Right away! It may not be convenient and it won't be cheap, but the longer you wait the worse it is going to be. She's NOT going to get better. PLEASE! Call a vet and get her in NOW before she suffers any longer! PLEASE!

I agree she needs to see a vet but scaring or guilting them is not going to help anything. I am sure if OP could take her in now, she would. She’s clearly concerned enough to make a post about it. But OP also said they are a teenager/living at home so it’s likely not up to them anyway. And they also said the vet is not open today. Maybe there is an emergency vet around and if so, I would say they should take the dog there today, but not everybody has one of those around or is willing to spend the money. OP probably would be willing but the parents might not be. But hopefully the dog is doing better today. :fl

THIS. Thank you for saying this.
It's Christmas. Most vets are not going to be practicing today, and if they did, they would charge a fortune. I don't blame the OP for waiting until tomorrow. Not everyone is rolling in time, money and resources...especially a teenager.

Exactly!!! And I don’t think it’s fair to blame/guilt the OP for not being able to take her in today. I’m sure they would if they could and probably already feel bad enough.
