Thanks everyone. It just seems like...if she was hit then she would have been in the street, or in the ditch, not in the grass in our yard. And also, my husband should have heard or seen something...he was right there in the yard! Oh well...it just bugs me because it doesn't make sense. It sucks.

That is so sad. I do know what it feals like i had my dog got hit by a car and the driver didnt stop. But the car behind him did.
You did mentioned the your husband went in an out of the house just for a second. It only takes a second for it to happened. Yes she could of got hit then walked to your yard. Sorry for your loss.

So sorry.. how heartbreaking. I agree with adorable, she may have gotten hit and run to your yard so the people that hit her may have figured she was alright ( I STILL would have stopped!) It's amazing what animals and people can do on adrenaline. Again I'm so sorry for your loss.
