Yes, Tully is a purebred registered Gold Retriever. Last winter, a couple of the neighbourhood dogs broke into one of my chicken pens, and they killed a whole lot of chickens. When we let Tully out of the house after it happened, she was confused and upset. She sat a the end of the pen where the attack occurred, and she barked and barked. We had to drag her away! My husband thought she felt bad about the attack, because now she is super protective of the chickens.
