Hello,
My dog Tully just saved my chickens from being attack! This is a miracle because Tully is so goofy and friendly. She could hardly be considered a guard dog. This morning, my young pullets had managed to escape their chicken run, and a stray dog wandered into my yard. I heard my dog barking in a strange kind of way out in the back yard. It was like non stop barking. When I went out to see what all the fuss was about, there was a group of young chickens all huddled together and my dog standing in front of them. The stray dog would take a try to attack my dog, and Tully would duck out of the way, but then she would go right back to barking at the dog. I couldn't believe it! My silly dog was defending my birds!
