I can't believe how brave that coyote was. You need to set some traps or just wait for them to come back with a shotgun.

You know those coyotes will be back because they know where a meal is. Be ready for them.

poor dog, get your gun out and bait the coyotes in and blow them away! i've heard them at night but none has come close to the house, i worry about my goats too, i need a kuvasz or 2, hope the little guy recovers

Oh! I hate that.

My sisters dog, who was much larger than this one of yours, was killed last Friday by coyotes on their farm. It is an all out war here now.

I'd definitely be watching for that coyote to come back and when he does, shoot him. They are going to get worse with attacks before they get better. It is breeding season and then it will be pup season. They will be hunting for food to feed their young. Keep a close eye on the rest of your dogs and I hope your little guy pulls through okay.
