My dream-come-true! Our new resin shed coop.

great idea

love it

congrads

I have the big one for my horses tack
it is on the ground no trouble with mud or water

they'reHISchickens :

Congrats on your new digs:)
My only comment is to check for eggs under the roost if they are laying. That dark cavern the plywood created is perfect nest-hiding space!

Thank you! I stuck a covered kitty litter box under there hoping that theyll lay in that instead

You may have to shoo them into the new coop for a couple of days but closing up or removing the old coop from the area should help that.

For light control put in a timer so the light comes on at dusk and turns off after some time. I have mine set to three hours.

Thank you I'll look into that

Yes you need some Call Ducks for sure!!!

I just picked up some new Call duck colors along with my Grays--a pair of Butterscotch, a pair of Whites, and Blue Fawn female and a Pied drake.... hopefully I can get some ducklings to hatch again this year!! I don't sell ducklings but I will sell teenagers in the summer. Keep that in mind

fingers crossed, hopefully Petey does his thing, I have black or white silkie girls. Haven't decided who will be with whom, I also have a beautiful white silkie boy to breed with too....I might just mix it up a bit and swap the girls back and forth, it will depend on who is laying though.

Congrats! I'm glad you finally found something.

I have to ask though. Where did you find a camo bucket???? Mine are all made from those horrible orange ones from HD. Id love a few of those instead.

It looks great aubreynoramarie. I have a rubbermaid coop also. I've had it for the last 7 1/2 years, never expecting it to last this long, but it is standing up well. It is a dream to keep clean, Since it is spotlessly dry inside I just sweep it clean, or use a leaf blower. You can look at my page for pictures.
I put duct tape along the seams on the floor to keep debris from getting stuck in there. I've never had any water or mud come in, but I'm a little above the water table here.
You do have to keep a small area outside the door snow free so you can open it.
Mine is in a shady area, but even when the sun hits it, it does not get hot inside.

I got em at home depot in the paint section. I think they're slightly smaller than the orange buckets which is actually what I was looking for but couldn't find. The camp worked too though and was only two bucks
