My duck and goose are mating???

My knowledge is limited, hence my questions... Are those guinea/peafowl/ chicken x's occure by natural means or are they inseminated? I think I'm going to try to incubate a few of the eggs to see what happens. What's everyones vote on the name if it works, Guck or Doose?
DH has been very tolerant of my experiments in the past, so we'll see. I laughed so hard with the picture of the vulture looking cross. That's hysterical.

I'd be concerned about the size difference and that he may eventually hurt or even kill her.

I agree with Katy. The gander might hurt the duck while mating.
As for the name of the incubation experiment, I vote for "rotten" because they won't hatch.

I love the guinea/turken cross! Definitely something I will consider for the future, especially if that hybrid doen't make the noise of a guinea!

I'm guessing you have this worked out by now but a gander can easily drown a duck if he tries to mate with her, it's better to get him a goose and her a drake.

I just saw that you're in CO too, do you need any goose hens by any chance? I have 3 Embden hens that need a good home with a gander desperately.
