My duck/chicken life

Nothing much, I just shipped 12 day olds to a customer.
No new stories to tell today??

I'm going to mystic village today. How I would love to see one of our ducks among their flock of ducks. They have a lovely pond, quaint little duck house, a fountain, and an island in the middle for them to sunbathe and Nibble stuff.

Throught the winter, and early spring, we lost all our original silkies. So we hatched out a bunch of bantams and silkies. We also let one of our Cayuga ducks hatch out a clutch of eggs. Most of the eggs hatched. But the first one, was a crushed egg. That duckling would have definitely died if we didn't take it into our hands. It took ages to actually hatch and got badly shrink wrapped. It needed major help because it had already absorbed most it's yolk. It was helped just fine, so I had it in the incubator with food and water all night. The next day (we were expecting to see it walking), it could barely even hold her head up. So we gave it a good dose of vitamins and save a chick, as well as put it in a chick chair since she also couldn't even right herself. We were not sure if she would make it. But just a few hours later, the duckling was strong enough to lift it's head and learn to walk. Because her start was rocky from the start, she earned herself the name lucky ducky. Flash forward to today, and you have a five day old lucky ducky that is healthy and still hates swimming. (NOT able to put her back with mom, who is a first timer with six ducklings already.) here she is after a failed swimming attempt, a Pekin, muscovy, khaki Campbell mix.
