I heard that turkeys are more prone to peck at each other, and have found that out the hard way the last few days.

They need a lot more room than chickens. And they will definitely sort out the pecking order, but they will rarely fight to the point of injury or death. None-the-less keep an eye on them until they're at least 8 weeks.
