Love cotton ball! Wanted to get a silkie from the first time we started chickens . That being said, I hope with all my might that this silkie, or the black one are not roosters

Lol. I think we might know now why the black chick had balance issues. We think either while I was close to death, or hatched fresh, it had become deaf, wich I know from experience that can cause balance issues, and I'm only a little deaf. That also explains why it can't seem to hear the other chick when it's on the opposite side of the food dish. The black chick uses cotton ball almost as an emotional suppurt chick or something. God forbid we remove the white one, sends the black one into almost histerics. It isn't like that when we remove the black one instead.

If thats the case, then there shouldn't bebe to much of a problem. It would be interesting to see how their relationship develops though.

Hey, you know what, when weshe first tried to get quackers in the water, she wanted absolutely nothing to do with it. Couldn't get out fast enough, even though she needed a bath. She was absolutely terrified of the water, despite being a duck!!
