My duck Chuckie Finally got 2 new girlfriends!!!!

I have been waiting to get girlfriends for my one and only duck Chuckie-he is 10 months old and I think he thinks he's a chicken because he had never seen another duck really-A friend wanted 2 of my standard cochin chicks so I gave them to her yesterday and she asked if I wanted her 2 Khaki cambell females and two heavy duty doghouses!!! Heck yah!!!! They are very skittish and not fun to catch to put in the barn for the night but hey Id rather them be alive in the am than finding feathers everywhere-the predetors are starting to creep out:-( After I put them back into the duck pens this am I found 2 ginormous duck eggs the girls graciously laid for me!! Happy Easter to me!!! Im also going to chickenstock in the hopes of getting just 1-2 more girlfriends

He is leary of them and they of him but hey Im hoping for the best in a week or two to get fertile eggs!!!

Here they are in the duck pen with their free duck/doghouse too

Chuckie is such a handsome boy... Im sure he will soon learn to appreciate the company of the females.

LOL! I wish I had more magpies! My hen Sharpie is the BEST mama ive ever had besides my Buff hen.

Most of mu ducks ( even hand raised ones ) arent very social unfortunantly

Makes me sad when they go out with the other ducks because even though I can get close enough to them that they are almost stsanding on my feet they dont like me touching them

I LOVE how Chuckie's crest is colored

I have a magpie cross crested drake but his crest is white.

I love when they nuzzle unto your hair !!!

I think if I could only have one breed of ducks it would be magpies or anconas for color - but My buff hen has always been my fav for personality.
