Awwww they are precious! The cords should fall off on their own pretty quickly. You can tie it off and trim it on the side away from the baby, (body, then string tied, then clip) if its long and in the way, but look up better instructions before trying it! I've never done it, just read about it.
I'm not sure what to tell you about the bloody one. Is that it in the middle? Are their bellys all closed up and yolks absorbed completely? I would probably try rinsing it in some warm water? Should be safe now, as long as you get it back under a heat lamp right afterward.

Poor little thing, really hope there's something I can't do

Any advice?
Awww poor sweet baby! I have heard of making little booties that you tape to the bottom of their feet. But I don't know how to do it. Hopefully someone will chime in or do a search for duckling booties. (hmmm, not sure what that will produce though~ you might get alot of tail shots LOL)

Hello,
I am hatching ducks for the first time too and I have some questions. I read through this entire thread and there seems to be some very knowledgeable people here! I'm only 5 days in on the incubation period, so no chicks yet! But, would it be ok if I posted my questions here? Thanks!

Not breed able, my husbands term is cull. The little chicken once I know what sex he will be put with a buddy or two of the same sex... I'm not gonna kill him. If nature doesn't kill him why should I? He doesn't seem to be in any pain
OK, because last time I checked culling with the death chamber. LOL, No they aren't usually, they do struggle to eat, so its probably best to soften up his food and he can use his lower beak as a scooper..
