My duck eggs hatching early!?!? Did I do something wrong?

Pics
I do it for fun, but I do sell the ducks and duckling for meat.

Once again you bring me great knowledge Jedi master! That was very interesting. I may have to just see if I can maybe talk the husband into building me a second duck coop... I keep ducks mostly for my personal enjoyment, seeing as I cannot eat them or their eggs. The attempts at hatching them were because I felt it was a complete waste to do nothing with them. I try not to remind myself that I didn't do too well with the first batch of eggs:-(
Do you raise most breeds of only certain ones? And do you know where I can order call ducks and maybe the harlequins? McMurray has the harlequins but they want a lot for theirs :/

I am so tempted to go to EVERY store in town that carries ducklings and make sure they know about niacin requirements for ducklings. So many people being given incorrect information about duckling food by feed store employees.

Argh. :rant

Figured I might tell you, the feed and seed here wouldn't listen. They have given me crap info I knew was wrong more than once!!

He died. I went to bed at 4am, and when I get up at 7am his head had flopped forward so he couldn't breathe :-( I feel so guilty.

And now I have a new problem @Lacrystol One has hit a vein with its bill, and was bleeding quite a bit. I think I managed to stop it, but I really don't know what to do?

No I didn't push! But I did breath breath breath! And hold my breath and cry because I screwed up and lost so many beautiful babies. (My husband is so good to me by the way... I had 30 americaunas and Rhode Island reds, bout half of each 5 weeks old. He was home and we went out to eat. They were in the galvanized brooder on the back porch waiting for next step, the outdoor mini coop. A chihuahua got in it and killed them all. mostly screened in back porch mind you. We got home, I went out the check on them and found the dog in the brooder. I cried for an hour. Said that's it I didn't want anymore. Next day he brings me home the bantams that are in the big brooder) good hearted as that was of him, the brooder is what I needed empty for these babies! Sighs

OMG, your dog got you own chickens. AHHHH, he's got a taste for them now. OH MAN that's terrible
