My duck eggs hatching early!?!? Did I do something wrong?

Thanks for all the info! I have another question. How long can pip stay in the incubator after he's fully hatched? He's the only one showing signs of being close to fully hatching. There are more than a dozen more babies in there. Do I keep it closed til they all hatch?

I like to get them out in about 24 hours and get them started drinking and eating.

Cute babies. I have had a few hatch early and some will start their pipping on lockdown. I had one hatch on lockdown day. I still don't know why but I am thinking the temp was higher than the thermometer read. I don't see anything you are doing wrong so I'd just keep doing what you are doing if they are hatching out healthy. I love hatching baby ducks!
