None of the other eggs hatched. Today is day 33. I decided to candle to see if there was any movement in case any of the eggs came from muscovys. As I picked one up I noticed it had pipped right in the middle of the egg. It pipped on the side it was laying on so I never noticed it until today, so I really don't know when it happened. I decided to open it up to see what might have happened. To be honest I couldn't tell if it was a pip or if I had somehow put it down too hard and broken the egg. Upon opening it I could see that it's bill was right there at the pip and it had indeed pipped too low. I also, noticed lots of Amber colored gelatinous goo which I assume is the same sticky stuff that plagued my chicks. The yolk was about medium sized. I plan on opening the others to see what the causes of such a poor hatch might be. Any ideas from what I found so far? What does the sticky goo mean again? Humidity too high or too low? Thanks!
