I always sexed mine by the curled tail feather when I still had ducks. I think I MIGHT be seeing the beginning of a tail curl... curled tail means male. Better tail pics might help. I never did learn to sex them by voice, because the differences always seemed fairly obvious to me at a reasonably young age.
Ducks are suspicious critters, though. Hard to say what is setting him off all of a sudden!
As I read the muscovy ducks do not have the curved tail feather, so it is difficult for me to know what sex it is.
It's also weird because sometimes he runs away from me (for two days) and I don't know if maybe he's playing, but sometimes he looks for me and if
I sit on the ground near him comes to bite me or climbs on top of me.
